Patterned Human & Horse Interactions

Changing the pattern in the small day-to-day interactions can be a great Opportunity to safely assess Holes in your Horsemanship, refine, communicate, and build trust.

Adaptability in the Horse and Human

Adaptability

People and horses get stuck in a mental/physical rut as to the quality and intention of the Conversations and interactions with their horses.
Without having to "go anywhere" there are so many scenarios that you can create to help you assess, then address and refine, in your own clarity, communication, and adaptability.

Creating a willing horse by teaching them to search

The "search" is when we ask the horse to learn how to focus mentally and then physically offer a specific response, in other words, much of our Conversations with the horse is about them searching for what we are presenting.

Word of the Day: Directing a Horse's Thought

Directing a horse's thought- communicating a person's intention to the horse's mind. The person's ability to have the horse literally look towards the planned direction of movement or focus.  This also leads to re-direct ability, or getting the horse to "let go" of his thought, and re-focus on where or what the human is asking. This influences the quality of the physical movement that follows.
